Paschal’s 5th encore career
Dr. Paschal Baute, is not only a Lexington Spellbinder, pastoral and organizational psychologist, retired therapist, and teaches Human Resource Management, leadership and team building t at Midway College. He is accepting invitations to speak at various community and educational events, including church groups schools, (elementary, middle school and high schoo_l, and volunteer groups in Fayette County. .
His favorite topics are “Finding Wings for Your Heart, or The Personal Power of the Positive Attitude,” “Seven Secrets of the Happy Healthy Heart,” , “Twelve Affirmations of the cancer Survivor,” , Mind-Body-Spirit, wellness Living. The Blessings of Aging. Coming to Terms with Death,” “Belief Gives You a ‘Leg Up or a big stumble,’” The Healing Poor of Forgiveness,” and other subject related to healthy living habits, such as “Keeping a Young Heart. His mission is building bridges between Psychology, total wellness and faith.”
Paschal was a competitive athlete in high school, college and the U. S. Army. With 29 amateur boxing matches, he won 25 and two championships, in the U. S. Army and the University of Notre Dame, and has medals in five sports. He has served with all four branches of the U.S. Military, both active and reserve, enlisted and commissioned. He held two commission in the Navy Reserve. He coached sports on both the high school, college and military level. He taught the use of hypnosis for smoking cessation and sports performance enhancement for many years. He was a Benedictive monk for 16 years. He is now married 42 years with three children and three grandchildren. He has served the Lexington community in many volunteer capacities. He twice ran for local public office.
Dr. Baute has authored over 300 article and several books. He has been a Spellbinder istoryteller n Fayette County schools, since 2006, leading a prison ministry program at the Fayette Detention Censer since 2002. He has a wedding ministry and is a facilitator in an interfaith group, the Spiritual Growth Network of Kentucky for 20 years.
